VIP Experience Packages

Ever wanted to experience our railway from the perspective of a driver and guard? Now you can with our VIP experience packages.

Package is for the VIP and one accompanying person. The latter would travel and partake in meals etc. but would not have the guard or footplate experience. The VIP should wear stout footwear and close fitting clothing. Shorts, skirts and sandals are not permitted in the cabs of steam locomotives.

The VIP must be age 16 or over and able-bodied. Hi-vis jackets and work gloves will be provided.

The tour will be accompanied throughout by a ‘host’ volunteer. This experience is not available on Special Event days and there is no discount facility to members.

Participants will be given day membership cards as part of the package. At the end of the day they will be invited to take up full membership at a discount of 25% for the first year.
